If you walk up to Fairmount Presbyterian, you will see a beautiful old building nestled among the trees and homes of historic Fairmount Boulevard. Using its stained glass windows, its steeple, and its architecture as clues, you’d recognize the building as a church, and you might say to yourself, “Now, there's a church with a long history in Cleveland Heights.”

And you’d be right. But, were you to think the members of the church must match the building’s old and traditional architecture, their faith is confined to conform within old walls of traditional beliefs, their Christian living limited to worn out definitions and prescriptions, you would be wrong. For when you walk through the doors you would find a community of individuals seeking to understanding God's claim on their lives, today. You would find people that are following Christ down their own path - together - seeking to grow in faith, serve together, and care for all.

If you have questions about our community, reach out to a member on the staff. They would love to hear your story, share our community's vision, and talk with you about your faith.

September through May, the community gathers for Sunday worship at 8:30am and 10:00am, with a time for intergenerational fellowship after the second service. Every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm the four Councils of the church (Administration, Serve, Care, and Faith Formation) gather to do the work of the church.  Every council meeting is open to all. Dinner is served at 6:00pm.

What happens when our world falls apart? How do we press onward when our tightly-knit plans unravel into loose threads? What do we become when our identity - or the path we're on - comes undone? What if all of this is not the end we fear it will be?

In our unraveling, sometimes life surprises us with unexpected joy, love, and hope - with a new beginning we couldn't have imagined. Sometimes we need God to unravel us, for we long to be changed.

Drop by the church office and pick up an "Unraveled" story journal to accompany this series. There are also coloring sheets we will put in the worship matters for you to utilize as well.
