January 20, 2024 Session Update
- Session welcomed new Elders Steve Chapman, Nancy Gillombardo, Jerry Parker, and Ruth Wasem at our first meeting of 2024, which was also a day-long Session retreat.
- Sarah Stone was elected Clerk of Session, and Gordon Landefeld, Peter Scheid, Sarah Stone and Ruth Wasem were elected as Ruling Elder Commissioners to the Presbytery of the Western Reserve.
- Session received a staffing update from Rev. Wallace. Tyler Young will transition to full-time status as Digital Engineer, overseeing external communications and graphic design. Christine Winters title has been updated to Project Manager to reflect her new role overseeing communications between councils, supporting pastoral staff, and managing office volunteers.
- Session approved terms of call for pastoral staff, which were subsequently approved in a congregational meeting held on January 21.
- Rev. Wallace reported on positive results of 2023 and 2024 stewardship campaigns. 2023 closed the year by surpassing the stewardship campaign goal of $750,000 by over $30,000. The 2024 stewardship campaign has received pledges of $705,000 to date toward a $750,000 goal.
