PastorAL Transition

Welcome Rev. Jessica MacMillan!

Interim Pastor/Head of Staff

With joyful hearts, the Interim Pastor Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the Interim Pastor/Head of Staff for Fairmount Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Jessica (Jessie) MacMillan!

The Committee conducted an extensive national search which began in early spring. After our unanimous recommendation and Session approval, Jessie is excited and has begun her work with us.

Though Jessie comes to us from New Castle Presbytery in the Delaware/Maryland area, she may be familiar to some of you, having previously served in our presbytery, the Presbytery of the Western Reserve, for a number of years, including time as the Stated Clerk and Associate for Equipping Leaders. Jessie’s wealth of experience and familiarity with Fairmount Presbyterian Church made her the ideal choice to lead us during this time of transition.

Jessie is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and DePauw University and has extensive experience, including as an Associate Pastor, a Parish Associate and an Interim Pastor. Jessie is a gifted preacher, a caring pastor and an outstanding administrator. Everyone she met with found her to be an exceptional listener, a discerning leader, gracious and hopeful.

During this period of pastoral transition, following the departing of the Rev. Derek Starr Redwine in February of 2019, the leadership of the church is committed to keeping the congregation informed.  Below is a list of congregational communications, with the most recent at the top.  Click on the image to download content.
