Rev. Andrew Genszler, Covenant Pastor

Rev. Genszler brings significant experience to the new combined role at Fairmount for our finances, building, human resources and worship life. Many of you may recognize him as the former CEO of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM). While he was there, LMM launched affordable housing and capital investment initiatives (including “Breaking New Ground,” which Fairmount supported). He was responsible for a staff of 140 and an $11 million annual budget. An ordained Lutheran pastor, Drew also served as Director of Advocacy for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), representing the church to Administrations, Congress, the United Nations, and the media. Most recently, Drew oversaw a $10 million endowment campaign and $3 million annual goal as Director of Legacy and Planned Giving for United Way of Greater Cleveland. He is a chaplain in the US Navy Reserve and holds a Master's degree in Christian Ethics from Oxford University. Drew and his partner, Alycia, live in Cleveland Heights and their children attended Fairmount Cooperative Preschool.
